Competed in limited rounds of the Improved Production State Championship.

Competed in limited rounds due to work commitments and budget constraints. Some reliability issues hampered our success - this often happens when a new race car is built, however, the speed of the vehicle is very impressive. During the WA State Championship round we managed to pass for the lead before the engine overheated. This caused reduced power and speed therefore we had to settle for 2nd position.

 2008

Competed in the WA Street Car Championship in a 500hp Series 6 RX7. A very fast, competitive and highly regarded racing category.

  • 3rd in the Torque Trophy feature race 2008

  • 2nd at Smarter than Smoking Night Masters Finale November 2008

After a very entertaining 2008, we managed to win the SCRAWA State
Championship and the WASCC Street Car Gold Star Championship.

 2006 - 2007

Competing in the Western Australian Improved Production State Championship at Barbagallo Raceway. On debut, Barnett Motorsport:

  • Won the Best Provisional Driver award for the Winter Classic.
  • Finished 3rd outright in June 2006.
  • Won the best presented car award for 2006.

Due to a late start in 2006 Barnett Motorsport only competed in a few other racing rounds. Even so, we managed to finish 7th out of 22 in the WASCC Club Championship.

Performance driving instructor at the AHG Driving Centre in Forrestfield. This involves teaching people race driving lines and driving techniques. Another part of the role is taking people for exciting hot laps in AHG Driving Centres fully race prepared V8 Holden Commodores.

Rallying. Driving a high powered 1972 Datsun 1600 on gravel roads at high speeds
is very difficult and requires a lot of skill and commitment from all members of the team. The team achieved some very good results and regularly finished in the top 5 in class whilst setting many fastest stage times.		  Datsun 1600

Starting motorsport at the age of 20, racing Go Karts saw success with many race and round wins. Go Karts are recognised world wide as a great class of racing to develop a drivers skill and ability to set up a vehicle where 100s of seconds matter.
